Easter in Guangzhou

Last night Jonas relaxed enough in the tub to sit!  Willow liked being on the other side and washing his shoulders for him.

Unfortunately today Kyle and I both feel like we have a little cold or something.  Blah!

Cuties getting ready for their Easter at the zoo.... This is a one time only ever, y'all, so enjoy!

Willow pretended her 'phone' (her hand) was in her zippered pocket.  She unzipped it and took it out for every single exhibit on this train ride to take pictures.  It was so funny, because she took it so seriously.

This is the Malaysian elephant, such a cool looking thing (kind of looked like a pig).

The lions sat coupled up.  I've never seen so many together in one large enclosure.  Two of them suddenly had a skirmish...

Coolest zoo we have ever been to.  The animals were so happy and spread out.  They were all active, and the weather was perfect.  There were so many of each animal; it was crazy!  On the safari ride, we got very close to them.  Freakishly close at times.

Time to walk a bit to see the rest.  Well of course we had to all stand by the bunnies for a picture on Easter!

Baby area...

White tiger show...

Lunch break, kind of...

It's so hard to get everyone to look.  People joined us at the table, which I could tell annoyed Grace...

He enjoys the stroller.  Holds on for dear life while smiling and leans forward...

Oh my word, the cuteness of this picture!  The pandas were the last exhibit we saw.  Loved them!

When in China, you get the stink eye and comments from random people if your kids aren't in jackets.  All. The. Time!

It was a success.  However their naps were only in the van on the way back, so not more than 45 minutes each!

Back at the hotel, Willow made an alphabet book!

They played a game of peekaboo!  Something about a slight barrier between them helped facilitate this adorable  moment!

Willow was invited to Emma's hotel room for a tea party.  She felt so excited about going to her friend's room!

Then the Dads went to hide Easter eggs at the little play area our hotel provides.  What fun!  Emma had written notes in some of the eggs she had prepared.  "Will you swim with me?  Parents signature:_________."

Jonas found leaves again rather than eggs!  He also enjoyed us chasing him around.

We used a basket the houseshoes came in in our room!  Eggs kept falling out.

Gracie is walking with her squeaker shoes, yay!

Emma had a red dragon puppet she did a show for Willow with.  So Willow told me this was her blue dragon she was swinging, just as serious as can be.  Such imagination!

So tired.  Can't believe the kids wouldn't go to bed early after that busy day!  This hotel room is much harder, because it's one giant room as opposed to two separate rooms with a door like the one in Nanjing.

“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?””
John 11:25-26
