Time for an update

Hi friends and family.  :D

As we are currently snowed in, I figured I am way overdue for an adoption update. So here goes!

Kyle and I turned 30 in October, which happens to be the minimum age China has set for international adoptions.  In the beginning, we thought we might have to wait a month or so before sending all of our paperwork to China.  However, by the time the previous step (fingerprints maybe? I forget) was completed, we waited less than one week.  So it was nice that we didn't have to waste much time waiting to be 30!  Thank God for incredible timing.

For those of you familiar with adopting from China, here is our obligatory dossier to China pic:

We enjoyed time around the fire with some wonderful people.  Loving life!

So we've been waiting.  Typically from the time you send your dossier to the time you get officially 'logged in', it takes a week to a month tops.  Ours took longer but is finally logged in!  Hurray!

Now we wait to receive a referral.  We want to see the face of our source of love and affection!  To put it mildly!  It is crazy to love so much without seeing or knowing them in the least.

Last of all, Jax and Pippin laze around while we put up Christmas for the last time without you, our sweet little one...

Last extremely important detail... Found a changing table/dresser!
